3too long in the ears  Jan 01, 2010
They're too big on the ears and they keep falling down.
I have to watch out my moves when wear them 'cos I'm afraid they fall on the floor.
Would be nice if they were smaller and shorter.

I've been wearing Bosch and Lomb large aviator sunglasses for at least 40 years. My current pair finally became too scratched. I was a bit concerned about ordering new ones, but the these are just like the last pair. The only thing I do not like is the ear pieces. Because of the wire frames they will not hold enough tension to keep them on my head. With my past pairs and this one I changed the ear pieces to a type that hooks around my ears. This type of ear piece should be standard. Shipping, etc. was quick.

I have owned the black frame version of these glasses for years. I finally dropped them and chipped the lens right in the middle so they had to be replaced. I was a bit concerned that Bausch & Lomb had sold Ray Ban to Luxotica because I was not sure whether the quality had been maintained.
Well, I took the plunge and ordered these on Monday, and they were in my mailbox on Saturday. Aside from many years worth of wear on my old ones, they are identical. I can discern no difference in quality or construction.
I am very happy to say that I can still recommend Ray Ban with no reservations. I am also happy to say that I saved a nice chunk of change going through Amazon and Ezcontacts.
If you are like me and have a large face, I highly recommend these sunglasses. They are the extra-large frames/lenses so they fit me very well. They offer excellent UV protection. The lenses are tinted a nice, neutral gray-green so they are useful for driving, the beach, the park, you name it. On top of all that these aviator sunglasses are a classic design; they may never go out of style. You might find better shades, but not at anything close to the price.

Ray-Bans are great Aviators if you want the "real thing", and not any of the plastic crap you see kids wearing that they bought in the mall. They also look really good, on just about everyone too. Aviators rock! I got ones with the Silver Rim and a Gray Gradient Lens and they look sweet too.
